I love watching the boys jump on the trampoline..

This has been the best gift. It really wears out the boys and lets them fall asleep early. We actually had fun doing a science experiment with static electricity. The boys kept crawling around and their hair was sticking up. Then they would touch Michael's foot and it would go down. This is how it looked.
Garrett's hair was the best because of how fine it is. Talmage really enjoys the trampoline. And he and Garrett were really cute just laying out there playing on his Nintendo. Such a cute picture. Ammon has lots of fun with this. He says 'if you're really good at it, you bounce high'. This picture was a resting shot. Garrett has really gotten into it. But he likes it better when it is just him.

The Mohawk!

Garrett's hair is soo long that he has the perfect hair for a bathtub mohawk! He looks just like his rocker from Guitar Hero. He is really cute!

Just wanted to give kudos to myself...and my husband

Ok, so for those of you who know about Guitar Hero, you know the different levels. Beginner- you strum or beat along with the beat, Easy- there are 3 color buttons that you have to follow at a slower pace. Medium - 4 buttons and it speeds up, Hard you have all 5 buttons to play. There are a couple of songs that are fairly simple to play like "What I've Done" and "Eye of the Tiger". I decided yesterday that I wanted to try those out on hard. The boys thought I was crazy, but it turned out not to be as bad as I thought as long as I had my fingers figers out. It was a nice challenge. MiCHAEL WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH ME. I had been watching him play the drums and he had kicked it up to medium. He rocks!! I'm so proud of us. It's something we like to play together after the boys go to bed. It's a nice time for us together.

Who needs to hang out in the cold?

I didn't get to watch the Inauguration Live, my 2 oldest did at school, but I watched my TiVo of it. As they kept talking about how cold it was back in DC and ALL those people that were there watching and taking pictures of Pres. Obama from a mile away I thought, hey I can take of picture of him and his wife too. And stay perfectly warm inside of my house

They look just like I was at the parade itself. Good luck to our new President. Our prayers are with you, even if I didn't vote for you, you are still the President of our Country and I need you to take care of us!!! May God be with him and us for the next 4 years!

And I would like to thank those who introduced my boys & I to.....

GUITAR HERO!!! It wasn't just Jason & Leslie, but the Jensen boys too. Michael had already made a comment when he went to Sam's Club and bought the car DVD player that they had the Guitar Hero World tour set and that was before we went to Utah. So, when I told him we needed Milk on the Saturday after we got home, where did he go....Sam's Club...What did he come home with.....Guitar Hero World tour, plus Aerosmith for the extra guitar. I have to admit I was pretty excited as I said'Happy Valentines Day. Happy Anniversary Babe!!" Next to the boys Nintendos they love this.

Ammon loves the guitar and singing.

Michael likes everything, but has really been enjoying the drums.

I am the bass; but when Michael is doing the drums I might try the guitar part. I tried the drums and I'm not so good, but I'm practicing.
Talmage is nothing but drums!!! His fingers are a little too short to play the guitar.
Garrett loves watching and his favorite song is "Eye of the Tiger". Talmage too. Plus, "What I've Done" by Linkin Park. It's at the end of Transformers which we all love. Spencer is our BIGGEST FAN. At the end of every song when they are cheering for us, so is Spencer. "Wooo" he says and puts his arms up in the air. Though he tryies to get to the instruments. It's a whole family bonding time.
Our band's name is Mama's Boys. We even created our own logo. Now I just have to figure out how to make us all some real shirts!!

What Utah taught me...

1. Vacations with the whole family can be achieved with only a few meltdowns.
2. Moms in Utah go to Walmart with all of their kids. 4,5,6,...
3. Other families take their kids out to dinner and understand when your 19month old wants to turn and look at them.
4. Some moms combine with other moms and take all their kids to Walmart.
5. American Fork has the fastest Urgent Care I've ever been in. (1 hour)
6. It pays to pack extra clothes in case your kids puke on you or themselves.
7. DVD players in the car were created by parents who take their kids on long trips.
8. I want to move to Utah so I can join the 4 boys club. (We saw a few families like that on our visit.)
9. Temple Square is as peaceful as it was when I served there 15 years ago, and the Sisters still have a certain pause when they speak. You have to be a TS sister to fully understand.
10. I love spending fun time with my boys and husband.
11. Excited for another fun trip sometime.
12. You can never have too much Anti-bactrial hand sanatizer!!!

New Years 2009!!!

We all tried to sleep in after being up so late. It kinda worked. My throat really started to hurt and I was trying to figure out what was going on. I was really not looking forward to doing anything today. We watched the Rose Parade...a tradition I really like. I told the boys someday we'll go and see it live. We had lunch at a resturant Jason had gone gone about JCW'S. He said the food was super yummy. It was good, but I could have enjoyed it more. I will say that the chocolate shake was huge and YUMMY. Perfect for the throat.
We headed over to J&L's and decided we owed the boys a sledding experience. Spencer was not so sure about it, Garrett really didn't want to do it, as this picture shows He was much happier playing on the playground.

Ammon LOVED it and Talmage we had to drag kicking and screaming away. We got some really fun pictures of everyone.
Michael got some good air time!
I totally love the looks on the boys & Michael's faces in these pictures. It just showed how much fun they were having.
Yes I went sledding a couple of times too. But I enjoyed being over by Garrett and Spencer. Spencer slid down the slide and his facial reaction is priceless!! We headed back afterwards to figure out dinner and something else to do. Leslie and I felt yucky enough, she checked my throat and said you look like you have strep! (I found out the next day that I did) The boys had pizza, we had soup and sandwiches and we all played on the Wii. The boys really like Mario Kart and Guitar Hero. Michael & I like Guitar hero too. We said our goodbyes and headed back to the hotel for the final night.

Thanks to Jason, Leslie and the boys for letting us come and take up so much of their time. We really had fun despite the illnesses. You're great friends. Glad we were able to reconnect.
