my birthday
I have decided that it makes no sense to hide your age. I've worked hard to get to this age I should be proud of it. So on April 17 at 2am I turned 38. yeah me. I hope that this year brings many blessings and experiences that I can learn from. I would love to be able to do more of the things I would like to each day. Especially playing with my boys. They are growing up so fast. Garrett is now 4. Spencer will be 2 on May 4. Ammon will be 8 in July and Talmage will be 6 in August. I hope that I can keep the Lord in my thoughts and be more spiritual. I can't believe that this May I will have been out of high school for 20 years. Where has the time gone? I don't feel this old. But then I look at my friends on Facebook with their teenagers going to Prom. WOW. I'm glad I've got a few more years till that happens. I am very grateful for the experience that I have had over the past 38 years. The good along with the bad. From each I have been able to learn and grow, hopefully for the better. I have wonderful family and friends which I love. Thanks to all of you out there that have had some part of my life and my heart. Happy birthday to me.

Easter Sunday
My boys wake up way too early on regular days. Easter Sunday was no exception. It was like 4:55 am when Talmage closed my bedroom door. But I was sitting in the chair with Spencer in the living room trying for the past hour. It took about another 30 minutes before I could even lay Spencer down. By then Talmage had alread looked all around the house trying to find Easter eggs and he'd been looking on the table at their buckets. Such a boy.
I got to lay down for a little bit more but by 6:30 all the boys including Spencer had woken back up. So we let the Easter hunt begin. We told the older boys that Spencer got to go look first, so that he could find some before they got them all.
They were very nice and helpful to him. Then it was their turn. Talmage had the advantage since he'd already searched out the house, but at least he was generous enough to share the wealth!

My 100th POST!!
I was looking at how many Posts I've done and this one will be 100. And what a post it can be. My day began with Michael asking me at 2:30am to put eye drops in his eyes because his allergies are going crazy. Then, once we turned off the light, Ammon came in needing something. Got him back to bed, checked on Talmage & Garrett, Garrett was kinda awake and wanted some milk. Ok. Got the milk, went back to bed, Michael couldn't sleep so he'd turned on the TV. About 5 minute later, Garrett came in and crawled into bed with us. He was cold, so I snuggled with him for about 5 minutes, until his fine hair was bugging my face too much, so back to his room. At 4:55 Michael woke up to head to the valley with his work truck, so of course that woke me up. Got back to sleep pretty quick and then at 6:00am Talmage needed a drink. I put him off until he and Ammon were fighting about the DS and had to get up. All was well until I went to take Talmage to the bus. Garrett was on his way to preschool, no problems, but we just missed Talmage's bus. We just followed it down the street and put him on at the last stop of the route. Luckily, they just added this stop. YEAH.
Ammon stayed home for his 3rd day in a row, just making sure the fever doesn't spike back up. So far, so good. I went to put the throw rug back into the boys bathroom and found that someone hadn't flushed after taking a poop. So I flushed, and it didn't go down. I ran to our bathroom to get the plunger before it overflowed. Whew, just made it, but then it wasn't plunging, so I thought I should flush to help it...now it over flowed. Yeeww. I yelled for Ammon to get me some towels, he's no help, but I got it cleaned up. It could have been so much worse, but now that is fixed.
Ammon & I desided that frozen pizza sounded good for lunch. So I preheated the oven and thought boy I should clean it, stuff on the bottom is burning. The oven was all ready and when I went to put the pizza in I found that Spencer, who is famous for opening the oven, had put in some blue plastic something and it had melted off the bottom rack and in a gooey lump on the bottom of the oven.
Luckily for him and me it was very easily scraped off with a metal spatuala. Now gettting it off the rack was a little more tricky, but for the most part once it dried I had to use a knife to cut it off.
Now we have a guy coming to fix our desktop, (I'm typing this on my laptop) so hopefully the rest of the day will be uneventful. But then again it is Thursday. (in our house Thursdays are rough.)
But I have learned a few things today that I would like to pass along. 1. Give your son his medicine earlier, so that you're not late for the bus. 2. never flush the toilet when you have poop and try to plung and if you do besure to have towels close at hand. 3. before you heat up the oven, open it up and make sure that your 2 year old hasn't put something in there to bake first.
Good day to all of you.

Poor Ammon
At 5:45am this morning I heard a child calling me over the moniter. I thought it was just Spencer sleep talking. Then I heard "Mmoommmmyy" Spencer doesn't say that. It was Ammon. I jumped out of bed and ran back to his room, hoping that he hadn't woken up Spencer. He had. Ammon said I really don't feel good all over Mommy. I made sure he hadn't puked. Nope, Yeah. I let him lay there for a couple of minutes out of the covers, because I knew he was hot, I just wasn't sure how hot. He took his tempature, he has funny ears, and I never get it in right. It was 103.7!!! He had been complaining about his throat, but it looks ok. We got him some Motrain and he laid on the couch for a little bit. His fever is coming down, but unfortunatly he is missing the first day of his Terra Nova testing. It's a standardized test to prep for 3rd grade or something like that. I guess we'll have to figure out a time for him to make this up. WONDERFUL for him. I hope he doesn't have anything too serious!

All is well, all is well.
I survived the colonoscopy. My colitis hasn't move any which is a huge blessing. I just have to be good about doing my treatment and taking my meds. (treatment is enemas at night that help reduce the inflamation.) It's hard to remember to do both. But at least in the mornings Talmage is reminding me to take my pills, I'm supposed to do it 3 time a day, when he takes his medicine for his OCS (Obsessive Compulsive Symptoms). Hopefully I will be making less trips to the bathroom soon.

And so my cleansing begins.
So, some people have spiritual cleansings, I am one of the clucky ones who gets to have my very much put off, colonoscopy!! Yea me. I've had Ulcertive Colitis since I was 12. Lucky me. I've gone thru time of remission in high school, and when I was pregnant. Then recently it was coming back so I had to go in and see the doctor and he wants to do a colonoscopy. The procedure isn't as bad as the preparation. So tomorrow off I go and luckily for me my mother in law cam up to help watch the boys in the morning. Wish me luck.

Spring Break...Day 5 finally or not
The last "official" day of Spring Break was very uneventful for the most part. We had an appointment to get Talmage a prescription for his OCS (obessive complussive symptoms. He's not quite to the disorder classification) We've been having a hard time getting a doctor to prescribe the medication that he needs. We ended up at Dr. Scott Hatfield's office. (I actually gradutated high school with him) We got what we needed from him then did a couple of erands. The rest of the day we just played and relaxed. The next day the boys, Papa & I went to Walmart to buy "Twilight" for my mom's birthday, which we decided to celebrate early. That night the boys watched "Beverly Hill Chichuacha" Spencer loves movies with dogs. He gets very excited whenever he sees Puppies. Then once all the boys were in bed, Talmage & Garrett were asleep on the couches before the movie even ended. So then we got to watch "Twilight". Still loved it. Still laughed at the funny parts that weren't supposed to be funny.
Spring break was supposed to end with Michael coming down and us going out for our anniversary, but he was so wiped out from his week that he choose to stay home. He had to leave for Bryce Canyon on Sunday so it would have been a very short trip for him.
To say the least even though we had fun, I wa glad when the boys got back into a school routine!
